There once was a little fish swimming around in the big ocean surrounded by good fish and others that might harm him. But he swam around hoping and praying that God would protect him and keep him safe from all the other predators.
Well, one day a man came by and scooped up this little fish and took him off to a pet store to be sold. So there was the little fish in a plastic bag filled with water, and there he found himself in a strange place and all alone.
The little fish thought….God, Why am I here? Where are you for me? Am I ever going to be free from this bag filled with water and all these strangers staring at me? Please help.
Well, some days passed, and another man came by, saw the little fish, and thought, hum. I think I will buy this one. So, the little fish in the plastic bag filled with water was being carried away by this man.
Oh my God, where are you? Where am I being taken now? What is going to happen to me?
Well, this man went his way, and what happened to the little fish was such a blessing.
The man opened the plastic bag that the little fish was in and let him loose in a beautiful, big, filled, enclosed lake of sorts. Oh, my, the little fish thought, this is pretty nice.
Days passed, and the little fish saw there were other little fish just like him swimming around and having fun. There was always food for all of them. The little fish saw God’s hand in his life. He was safe from the fish that could have hurt him; he was always around friendly fish like him; he always had food, and he swam around having such a blessed time every day. God’s provision was there for the little fish.
Why am I telling you this story? Well, when you pray to God for His help and provision, He will be there for you to make a way where there seems to be no way and a path that did not seem to be there for you. Sometimes we want to have God’s help where we are only to find out later God needed to move us on to a better place. The process may not be what we would have thought; there might be doubts as well. But God’s plan for us is always one to bless us and not leave us in a bad place. (Romans 8:28-30)
